Scubaroo Night Dive: Chilli- Pearse- Tina- Me- Trevor- Lyn and Instructor Geoff
Skipper: John Bartle

First of all, we would like to congratulate Tina and Chilli who just completed their two days Advanced Open Water Course.
Night Dive is one of the specialties they chose so on Thursday night, we all met on King Diver around six o'clock; the sun was just starting to set, and we were all commenting on the perfect weather conditions; the ocean was like a mirror and the air still warm.
On our way to Paroo, I couldn't help notice smiles of excitement on everyone's face. By the time we jumped in with our torches, the underwater world was in the dark.
At night, colours are at their brightest and all creatures are out feeding. It is time to slow down and look for the little things. Like hundreds of minuscule shrimps, almost transparent and tiny crabs hiding in the hard corals, not–so-shy crayfish walking around, bright red nudibranchs we've never seen before, We saw a strange decorated crab who grows stuff on its back, a baby cat shark sleeping on the reef and a beautiful turtle, who looked a bit crossed to be disturbed.
On our way back home, we celebrated with bubbles, caviar and Camembert.

Scubaroo Dive Pty Ltd – Season 2007

Scubaroo Dive Onslow Pty Ltd is proud to announce that it is now registered as an Australian Company. The low season finally ending, we are now entering our third year and the season seems to have all the signs of a good one. Charters are already picking up and tourists are starting to arrive. The water temperature is still on the high but will be dropping soon enough.
King Diver is looking majestic after a complete make over. The poor thing has been taken out of the water, strip down to its core to be sanded, scrubbed and polished and fully spray painted in white, then put back together, cleaned, serviced and towed back in the water again. After three weeks of hard work, she is looking a treat and has been already subjected to very flattering compliments.

Diving Diving Diving

Special thanks to our friend and Skipper John Bartle who has been here with us all week and even discovered a new fantastic dive site that has been entitled “The Labyrinth”.
The whole week has been dedicated to diving with our guests and friends Glen Cowans from Underview Imagery and wife Louise, and Trevor and Lyn from Port Hedland.
Here's how it went:
Monday: We visited a new dive site, at about 22M at deepest, called Penguin Banks where we got circled by massive schools of Trevallies and Barracudas. Grey reef sharks were at home there. The site is composed of rock walls with lots of overhangs and a sandy bottom. Lots of action. 3 Dives.
Tuesday: Black Flag. One of our best spot, everything you can think of, you can see.
Wednesday: Advanced course with Tina and Chilli: Deep Dive and Photography at
Rosily Island: Nurse sharks and for my first time in Onslow, a spectacular Manta Ray!!!
Thursday: Viz not too good today. We can see Paroo 's corals damaged by cyclone.
Went also for a Night dive (see other article)
Friday: John found The Labyrinth displaying very colourful soft corals and sponges.
Lots of swim- through where a Giant Moray eel lives. Special discovery: a white and orange porcelain crab. Thanks everyone, it has been an awesome week!
