Scubaroo Dive is based on Thevenard Island, Mackerel Islands, 22 km off shore from Onslow, Western Australia, 1386 kilometres north of WA's capital city, Perth.

By Air

Commercial Flights:

Qantas: Daily flights between Perth and Karratha. (131 065)

Skywest: Daily flights between Perth and Learmonth (Exmouth). (1300 660 088)

Private Flights:

Thevenard Island has its own 1000 m airstrip, so chartering an aircraft is also an option.

By Car

If you choose to drive to Onslow, allow about 2 days to do the drive comfortably. For first time visitors to Western Australia, this is a great way to experience the spectacular Pilbara region.

Perth to Onslow

Take the Northwest Coastal Highway to the Onslow turn off, then travel 80 km to the town of Onslow.

Onslow to the Mackerel Islands (Thevenard Island)

If you decide to base yourself on the Mackerel Islands (22 km off shore from Onslow) during your visit, boat transfers take place from Onslow to Thevenard Island twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays.

By Bus

Greyhound Buses: There is a Greyhound Bus service from Perth to the Onslow turn off - 80 km from town.

Greyhound also operate bus services from Perth to Exmouth and Karratha.
